Sand and Salt

Now you can enjoy the tropical beach vibes cafe within the city. All the way to the Kemang area in the south of Jakarta, Sand and Salt carries the concept of a beach with a stretch of sand as the floor base. The main building is like a beachfront shop in Bali made of wood. The poles are wrapped in Balinese cloth with a black and white checkered pattern. The roof is also equipped with thatched and the chairs are made of wood and rattan. Not to forget the presence of dry palm decorations and shades of green from plants such as banana trees and cacti which are displayed in several corners.

Previously known as Bebek Timbungan in Bali, the success of now known as Bali Timbungan restaurant on Sunset Road Kuta and at Secret Garden Bedugul Bali was followed by the opening of its first outlet in Sarinah, Jakarta. Bali Timbungan offers Balinese heritage cuisine with a signature menu such as a wide selection of meat dishes ranging from duck, chicken, and seafood. Timbungan comes from food culture from centuries ago in the era of the Balinese kingdom. It is written in ancient manuscripts on palm leaves “Dharma Caruban” which means food cooked using bamboo for 12 hours on a low, steady fire.
