DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro introduced the most indulgent new menu to try at Sea Grain Restaurant & Bar. Well-known for its Mediterranean cuisines, in this 2020 the restaurant also features delectable dishes with a local and international twist to be enjoyed in a casual dining experience.
Located on the 3rd floor, the industrial and rustic modern restaurant and bar brings fresh ingredients to tempting offerings. The new menu presents unique dishes specially curated by Chef Alvaro Bonache Utiel, accentuated with the Chef’s flair of Spanish origin and combined with his Italian, Indonesian and Asian touch. This is shown, one of them in the Tapas menu, with Beef Cheek Gyoza; Japanese dumplings that are filled with Spanish traditional beef cheek stewed in red wine. A way to mix two different countries and food cultures.
Continuing the dish is Mushroom Soup; one of the most-popular soups worldwide. The soup is added with homemade parmesan ice cream on top; creating contrasting flavors of different temperatures in a mouthful. Hot and cold, creamy and savory – it is completed with sliced sautéed mushrooms and crunchy croutons. Recognizing Asians’ love of noodles, the Chef also presents Spanish Lamb Noodle Soup. The chewy noodles, with slow-cooked egg and chives, are added with dumplings from a sweet combination of lamb meat, mint, raisins and pine nuts. It is then completed with fresh broth that is made from lamb and finished with refrito; a Spanish sauce that consists of fried garlic, cumin, smoked paprika and vinegar. On top of that, torreznos – crumbs made from fried lamb meat and skin – are sprinkled to add crispy textures to the dish.
Following the course is a classic pasta: Penne Aglio Olio. The light flavor of the penne is enhanced with fresh Aglio olio sauce, added with delicious prawns, a little bit of spicy from dried chili flakes and topped with aromatic fried basil; a delicacy that suits every palate. Bringing an international favorite is the new Carnivorous Pizza, jammed with all the delicious kinds of meat. The soft dough is topped with slow-cooked smoked beef brisket, beef bacon, homemade beef patty, diced garlic chicken and red onion, then instead of tomato sauce, it is smeared with tasty barbeque sauce. Truly a dish for meat lovers to enjoy with loved ones.
