Grand Hyatt Jakarta has unveiled its newly renovated Grand Lobby as part of the hotel’s major transformation. Led by the House of Hadiprana, the design concept highlights batik and Nipa palms from Borneo that represent Indonesia’s prosperous nature. The arrival experience at the hotel begins with the expanded porte-cochère or lobby driveway.

Symmetrical patterns of Nipa palms adorn the driveway ceiling and the entrance door framework. Furthermore, four palm trees occupy four sides of the lobby atrium where the new marble colour enhances the existing natural elements and induces a more modern, brighter ambiance.

The lobby’s iconic batik marble fountain that is Hendra Hadiprana’s legacy remains unchanged. In the middle of it appears a new feature: A magnificent batik painting of a lush forest. This artistic masterpiece symbolises a beautiful harmony between Indonesia’s nature and culture.

From 16 December 2021 to 5 January 2022, the batik marble fountain displays a heart-warming painting
of a Christmas tree and two deer, all in exquisite batik motives.
