This Ramadan Grand Hyatt Jakarta donated 100 iftar boxes, 60 sets of school uniforms and stationery along with a financial support of IDR 12,200,000 to underprivileged orphans at Rumah Piatu Muslimin.
‘This donation provides the children with daily necessities. With restrictions imposed during the pandemic, we believe it is important to be actively involved in the community and to give back to the society,’ said Aris Rustanta, Area Director of Human Resources for Hyatt Indonesia.
The children aged six to 16 also participated in a Ramadan-themed drawing activity. Three drawings out of which were replicated on chocolate packet designs for the hotel’s Ramadan hampers. ‘We are collaborating with HAS Chocolate Bali, a chocolate maker based in Ubud, for the chocolate bars. We are proud to be associated with HAS Chocolate Bali as the company practices sustainable agriculture and produces quality chocolate from scratch. We hope that by having this initiative, we can inspire the children and support local products, too,’ added Aris.
This charitable contribution is part of Grand Hyatt Jakarta’s long-running traditions and in line with Hyatt’s initiatives.
