developed and created a delicious collection of mooncakes in a variety of flavours such  as Chinese Dates with Pecan Nuts and Mandarin, Aromatic Pandan, White Lotus and  Salted Egg, Red Beach Paste with Sunflowers and Pumpkin Seeds, Black Sesame, as well  as Green Tea. 

This year, these delicate treasures are presented in stylishly designed lilac-coloured  boxes. True to its devotion to art and working with up-and-coming local artists, Raffles  Jakarta collaborates with Weillen, a gifted 19-year old visual storyteller to create the  mooncake gift boxes. 

Born in Kalimantan, raised in Surabaya and currently studying in Jakarta, she always  knew that she wanted to be a storyteller. From creating animated music videos to  product packaging, Weillen loves the challenges to work with different mediums. “I  work closely with Raffles Jakarta in creating these collectible mooncake gift boxes. The  illustration embodies a hope for better things to come, in the form of a girl flying on the  back of a swan, the pink lotus flowers, as well as the lilac colours which symbolises  spring and renewal,” says Weillen.
