Ragunan Agricultural Tourism

Ragunan area is now not just famous for the Zoo since the opening of its Ragunan Agricultural tourism, which is educational too.

This new tourism destination is highlighting an educational concept of cityscape agricultural.

Located close to the Bumi Perkemahan Ragunan (Ragunan Camp Site), entrance can be made through Jl. Poncol Ragunan. 

Officially opened by The Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo on 12 January 2021, this 2.2 hectares will accommodate the high demand for educational agritourism destination especially during this pandemic.

The site offers countless variety of plantation including vegetables and flowers. There’s also parks where visitors can have relaxing moments while enjoying the greenery.

Hutan Kota Gelora Bung Karno

Hutan Kota Gelora Bung Karno was formerly a commercial area in the form of ex. Senayan Golf Driving Range. Covering an area of 4,5 hectares which in 2016 was returned to its function to become a green conservation area and to become an integrated, modern, environmentally friendly, and one of the ultimate sports area in the world (Gelora Bung Karno’s sports stadium)..

Number of trees were planted including rare and exotic plants namely Baobab (Adansonia Digitata) which is an exotic plant originating from Africa, Ulin Wood (Eusideroxylon Zwageri) or commonly called ironwood, one of the most famous and strongest woods from Kalimantan, and Eboni (Diospyros Celebica Bakh) from Sulawesi. In addition, you can also found Matoa, Tabebuia Pink Pomegranate, Jakaranda, Kuri, Buni, Pule, Kepel and several other plants. were planted.

Hutan Kota was first introduced to the public during the 2018 Asian Games, during which the venue was used to host many ceremonies, events and gatherings. During this period, the President of the Republic of Indonesia himself, Bapak Joko Widodo, hosted his guests at the site. Hutan Kota is operated solely by Plataran hospitality group and now officially titled Hutan Kota by Plataran.

Hutan Kota by Plataran comprises three main areas, perfect for MICE functions (weddings, exhibitions and corporate events), in addition to being an elegant venue & dining space. Other facilities include parks, pet playground, jogging track and basketball court.

Strategically located on the Sudirman side of the GBK Complex, Hutan Kota by Plataran is easily accessible via private and public transportation (such as the MRT and TransJakarta).

Ancol Beach

Ancol is a coastal lowland area located to the east of Kota Tua Jakarta offers refreshing views of the ocean. Ancol has two main beaches, Festival and Carnival beach also lots of interesting activities for the family.

There’s a jogging track, volleyball and basketball courts, as well as water sports such as jet skiing, canoeing, windsurfing, and sailing or enjoying the scenery on a water bike, a traditional boat or one of the colourful swan boats.

There is also a long wooden bridge that stands along the sea, which is a most favorite photo spot.

Ancol comprises not just its beaches but also beach resorts of Jakarta, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol with Dunia Fantasi (Fantasy World) amusement park as its main attraction, Ancol Beach City Mall and many more attractions.

Waduk Pluit Park

Located in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Waduk Pluit Park was formerly a slum area. Thanks to the popular duo Joko Widodo and Basuki (Ahok) Tjahaja Purnama, this once grubby area was successfully transformed into a clean and family-friendly park. This park also has a track for runners and cyclists. Also, the existing reservoirs can be used for fishing.

Semak Daun Island

An unpopulated island, one amongst the beautiful islands in Pulau Seribu (Thousand Islands). Semak Daun is a perfect camping spot on its clean white sands.

The beach is calm, water is turquoise as if to hypnotize anyone to soak for long. Visitors can even snorkel there. The clear water of Semak Daun Island bends the underwater panorama clearly.

Semak Daun Island is also famous for its beautiful sunset. Sitting on the edge of a quiet beach watching beautiful sunset is definitely refreshing!

It is easy to reach Semak Daun Island. From Muara Angke, you can take a motor boat to Pramuka Island. Usually, the boat departs in the morning. The trip takes about 3 hours. Once you reach Pramuka Island, you can take a small boat to reach Semak Daun Island. For a faster trip, you can prefer to depart from Marina Ancol Port. A speedboat will take you to Semak Daun.
