At the 2018 HOSPITALITY Indonesia exhibition that took place at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran on October 24-27 2018, a number of interesting events were held for business people in the interior design, furniture, and hospitality support businesses. One of them is the Design Day seminar, which raised the theme of “Indonesia Trend Forecasting” with speakers from practitioners, researchers, business people, and curators related to interior design.

The Indonesia Trend Forecasting Seminar was held at IDEA Space, Hall C1, highlighting the development of trends in the design world that are increasingly utilizing today’s technology. The seminar also aims to provide information about global trends that will come to designers or creative entrepreneurs in Indonesia, especially those related to the hospitality industry.

“Trend forecasting activities have helped companies in the design and creative industries to maximize their sales targets in accordance with market desires and at the right time. Moreover, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has been started which helps the hotel know the interests of its guests easily and properly,” said Tri Anugrah, ITF Creative Director/Trend Researcher. Kafin Noe’man from Design & Lifestyle Researcher, Strategic Planner BD + A Design added, “In interior design, four derivatives of singularity themes (Exuberant, Neo-Medieval, Svarga, Cortex) are mated with the persona in Indonesia (The Enthusiast, The Feminine, The Pragmatic, The Fashionista) and interior characters that will create a new interior design.”

Meanwhile, Indonesia Furniture & Craft Promotion Forum (IFPF) invited the participation of its members to display their product designs in Hall B. Including, Aida Mebel, Bagaskara Galih Perkasa Furniture, Dijawa Abadi, Teak Icon, Karya Anugerah Gemilang, Kina Citratama, Permata Furni, Prima Putera Bengawan, J-Gega, Surya Abadi Furniture, Valasindo Sentra Usaha, Vina Arya Furniture, Wisanka, and Yudhistira.

The HOSPITALITY Indonesia Exhibition 2018 which houses 3 (three) exhibitions at the same time, namely the Furniture & Craft Indonesia exhibition, MOZAIK Indonesia, and the Indonesia Sourcing Hotel is held in 8,000 square meters of land in Hall B and C, Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta. It is also held for 4 (four) exhibition days, divided into three days of trade days on 24-26 October 2018 with an entrance ticket price of IDR 50,000 and 1 (one) day open to the public and free on 27 October 2018.
