The only hospitality and design industry exhibition event in Indonesia, Hospitality Indonesia was officially opened on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Hall A – Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran Jakarta. This is the second year that Hospitality Indonesia is held after the first successful edition in 2018.
The exhibition which is a synergy between API Traya and JIExpo Kemayoran Jakarta, and supported by the Ministry of Industry, the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII), the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) and the Indonesia Furniture & Craft Promotion Forum (IFPF) lasted for 4 days from October 23-26 2019. The theme this year is “Engage the Future of Hospitality” which reflects the strength of the increasingly unified collaboration of the industries involved in it.
Having a Business To Business (B to B) concept, Hospitality Indonesia was attended by more than 100 local exhibitors. They are industry players in the fields of furniture and crafts, interior design, and hotel suppliers who have experience in working on projects such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, offices, co-working spaces, airports, and public spaces, both at home and abroad.
“Hospitality Indonesia is ready to answer the design needs, the interior of the hotel restaurant and cafe (HoReCa), other hospitality businesses including co-working space owners, the e-commerce industry, distributors and the general public,” said International Traya Exhibition Director, Bambang Setiawan.
A total of 5000 potential buyers from Southeast Asia, Australia and a number of other countries are also presented. According to Bambang, this is an opportunity for products in the Hospitality industry to become a trendsetter process in the global market.
Hospitality Indonesia is also a media for design education to the public about developing trends. Internalized in a series of inspirational seminars and workshops titled InspireTalk by presenting competent speakers in the fields of hospitality and design. From HDII, there were 2 Indonesian designers, William K. Patty from Hadiprana and Ariya Sradha from Tata Wastu Asia, who had many hotel designs works in Indonesia and abroad. They will share their experiences, ideas, and the latest trends, especially in the design of resorts and hotel businesses.
