Batik is one of Indonesia’s textile art that celebrates the traditional craft of resist dyeing using wax and (ideally) natural dye. There are many types of fabric and design to choose, from precious batik hand drawn on silk to the more contemporary design, that more and more independent local designers have come up with. We list the recommended places you can get batik from in any budget, either to wear yourself or as a gift for people back home!
