1. Badminton

Badminton has always been the most popular sport in Indonesia. It’s none other because this country has a great number of world achievements respectively, thanks to its several notable and skillful athletes. No wonder the matches are always thrilling, exciting, and beautiful. And with Indonesia’s big competitors, such as China, Japan, and South Korea, Badminton matches will be something you don’t wanna miss.

2. Artistic Swimming

This sport combines physical strength with the flexibility and beauty of artistic value. Beautiful pool, gymnastics and dance are the main focus of this sport. Sure enough, only female athletes can compete in Artistic Swimming. China and Japan are 2 countries with the strongest Artistic Swimming team as their matches will also be pleasant to witness. But, other countries’ team, such as Singapore, is also something you can not miss.

3. Archery

The popularity of Archery in Indonesia is on the rise after a big achievement and excellent performance by Indonesia’s Archery athlete on the last SEA Games 2017. At this year’s Asian Games, the athletes are predicted to deliver even fiercer and more competitive matches as they are already got massive support from the citizens. Plus, some best teams in Archery, such as India, South Korea, and China will also predicted to give a thrilling and competitive matches.

4. Weightlifting

Similar to Archery, Weightlifting’s popularity is on the rise among citizens as some Indonesia’s Weightlifting athletes performed really well on the 2016 Summer Olympic in Brazil. They also showed a good result on the Asian Games National Training by breaking their own  lifting record. That’s where the big expectation comes and we predicted that the matches will be so competitive and fierce. Besides, Weightlifting is a sport that performs strength, flexibility, concentration, endurance, balance, technique, mental, and ability which make this sport is so appealing to watch.

5. Track Cycling

We are so excited with the presence of Jakarta International Velodrome venue in Rawamangun. It is reported as the best velodrome in Asia with eco-friendly concept. And, we definitely can not wait to watch track cycling matches there. Track cycling itself is also a very thrilling sport which basically cycling race on a special built track and much involved balance, endurance, and of course excellent technique.

6. Indoor Volleyball

Indoor volleyball match is always something appealing to watch. Witnessing each team’s breathtaking teamwork is something to look forward to, other than, of course, their powerful playing and beautiful technique. We are also excited for this year’s Asian Games, because Indonesia’s volleyball female team promise to bring a great match as they also performed really well on SEA Games 2017.

7. Equestrian

Equestrian or horseback riding is also a must watch match in Asian Games 2018. This sports was first competed at Asian Games IX New Delhi in 1982. What we can look forward to in this sport match is how the athletes shows their technique controlling speed, riding, driving, steeple-chasing, or vaulting with horse.

8. Jet Ski

So excited that jet ski is finally included in Asian Games and this year marks the first time jet ski is being competed in that continental multi-sport event. Jet ski itself is always a thrilling sport to do and the competition will be doubled the thrill and excitement in which you won’t wanna miss.

9. Athletics

Surely athletics is sport you can’t even miss. Indonesia will bring its leading athletes with reputable achievements, such as Lalu Muhammad Zohri. Zohri is a sprinter who just got his gold medal for 100 m sprint on the laste 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships. A fierce and competitive match is something we can anticipate a lot in this sport field. Athletics in Asian Games 2018 includes 3 major sport, such as running, throwing, and jumping.

10. Kabaddi

Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that brings out physical contact and played by 2 opposing teams consisting of 7 persons. Kabaddi began played at the Asian Games XI Beijing in 1990, where India always come out as the proud winner of this sport in both men and women categories. As this sport is not too common, Kabaddi match would be something interesting to watch.
