This July, we are finally welcoming the new restaurants in Jakarta. By still maintaining physical distancing and implementing the health protocol, we hope these new dinings in Jakarta can be a place for you to heal as well.
Twelve Chinese Dining
Chef Daisuke Kamata is a native of Yokohama, where the largest Chinatown is located in Japan. After honing his skills in both Italian and Japanese cuisines in Tokyo and Okinawa, Chef Kamata heads the development of Meikiki no Ginji in Hong Kong. Bringing his broad range of experience, he leads the creation of neo-Chinese Japanese cuisine in Twelve Chinese Dining. Chef Daisuke Kamata pays tribute to his native Yokohama, home to the largest Chinatown in Japan, with an updated interpretation of Japanese style Chinese cuisine. Traditional Chinese recipes are brought up-to-date with Japanese delicate ingredients and techniques in a modern Chinese menu. Enjoy exciting flavors of Peking Duck, Oolong Smoked Wagyu with Miso, Sake Drunken Shrimps and pair it with one of Twelve Zodiac-inspired cocktails, mocktails and wine.
Roma Osteria & Bar
Dedicated to life’s simple pleasures of eating and drinking well, Roma is a nod to regional Italian home cooking by Chef Luca Pezzera, served in a grand yet inviting space in the heart of Jakarta’s SCBD. Drop by for an al fresco lunch with the most authentic Neapolitan pizza in town, made by world champion pizzaiolo Pasqualino Barbasso. A leisurely dinner should involve at least one of our many iterations of Cacio e Pepe, the sublime spaghetti carbonara, or the Trippa all Romana, accompanied by fantastic Italian wines. The bar is perfect for a spot of aperitivo as well as late-night revelries: try the excellent Garibaldi, any of the classic and innovative Negronis, or any cocktails highlighting amaro and bitters.
