The enthusiasm for tourism to rise and grow faster continues to be echoed by the Himpunan Anak Media (Travel's Media Association) also known as HAM to stakeholders and local governments who are committed to developing the tourism industry. This becomes the campaign every HAM anniversary.
As the celebration enters its 15th year, HAM is collaborating with Dafam Hotel Management, ARTOTEL Group and the Jember Regency Government to revive and restore tourism in this area which is known as the city of this festival.
Arief Suharto, Chair of Himpunan Anak Media during a friendly gala dinner at the Wahyawibawagraha Hall, Tuesday Night (22/11/2022) said that, together with 25 national journalists headquartered in Jakarta, HAM wanted to take a journalistic trip directly to the Regency which is known as the City of this festival.
“HAM wants to explore the city of the Jember Fashion Carnaval. Jember is rich in tourism potential and creates economic products. HAM, will take part in conveying the message that Jember Regency is ready to receive tourist visits as their campaign, namely Jember Keren," he said.
On the same occasion, Andhy Irawan, MBA, a son born in Jember and CEO of Dafam Hotel Management, said that Jember Regency has tremendous potential. However, he admits that there are still not enough things to make Jember extraordinary again.
Meanwhile, Hendy Siswanto, Regent of Jember, expressed his gratitude to HAM for agreeing to visit Jember Regency. “Media is a window to the world. The window to this world is HAM. We (Jember) only have the window. If you don't open it, you won't see it. If HAM opens, it will be seen," said Regent Hendy.
“The way to accelerate Jember is through branding. Jember doesn't need to be ashamed to compare with an event that already exists, call it like the Jember Fashion Carnaval, continuing to take advantage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup momentum, then continuing on the Jember event City of Indonesian Cigars, and so on," continued the Regent.
