For the first time, Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers holds a painting exhibition in the lobby and restaurant areas in October 2022. In collaboration with the Galeri Zen1 Bali, this solo exhibition presents the work of the painter Putu PW Winata who is known to admire nature, and consciously places nature as the center of art creation.
There are approximately 20 paintings that visitors to Sheraton Surabaya can see until October 30, 2022. This solo exhibition entitled “Gesture of Nature” is in accordance with Sheraton Surabaya’s vision to help preserve art and provide space for its audience.
“Not only for art exhibitions, we see Putu’s love for nature in line with Sheraton Surabaya’s principles to prioritize environmental sustainability,” said Masri, General Manager-Complex Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers and Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya at Tunjungan Plaza.
At the opening of the exhibition on Friday (29/09), ArtMoment Jakarta was also present, the organizer of an art and painting exhibition in Jakarta where Galeri Zen1 and Putu Winata have contributed over the past few years. ArtMoment Jakarta will also hold the same event in November at the Sheraton Gandaria Jakarta.
On this occasion, Putu handed over a painting entitled “Natural Energy” to Masri, which will later be used for the donation auction. There are six paintings that are ready to reserve at the end of this week, which shows the enthusiasm of the people of Surabaya for art.
