Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta recently launched a drought-resistant initiative that utilizes organic kitchen waste to create liquid organic fertilizer. This demonstrates the hotel's commitment to providing environmentally friendly solutions and benefits to the community, particularly farmers and urban farming activists.
Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta collaborated with the Yogyakarta Agricultural Institute (INTAN) to produce this liquid organic fertilizer. The product's validity was confirmed through testing by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), ensuring that Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta's fertilizer has a credible academic and research basis.

Hotel Tentrem's CSR program has focused on three pillars: community empowerment, health, and sustainability. This liquid organic fertilizer initiative combines all three. Furthermore, it demonstrates our responsibility to manage the waste generated by the hotel, ensuring it can again benefit the community and the environment," said Christoporus Yulianto, Corporate GM of Hotel Tentrem Group.

This initiative was also welcomed by the Mayor of Yogyakarta, Hasto Wardoyo. This initiative aligns with the Yogyakarta City program "MASJOS," or "Masyarakat Jogja Olah Sampah," which encourages the involvement of all parties in waste management. This collaboration is expected to be the first step in expanding the waste management movement to provide tangible benefits to the community.
