The decision to move the dates was taken in consultation with Indonesian film professionals and will better support this vibrant industry by providing a much-needed boost in the first half of the year.

After a highly successful hybrid edition in 2021, which combined in-cinema experiences at partner venue Cinema XXI and an online edition for audiences at home via Book My Show, BFF2022 plans to hold a combination of an indoor/outdoor/online festival as the most exciting and responsible way to unite international audiences and our local community.

“We are inspired by the new year and a program that aids in welcoming people back to Bali and into the cinema and look forward to re-engaging students with a return to holding educational workshops,” said Deborah Gabinetti, Bali Film Festival Founder.
