TAUZIA Hotels Launches ‘Ascott Cares’ Commitment to Heightened Hygiene and Safety Standards
TAUZIA Hotels, a member of The Ascott Limited, announces the launch of ‘Ascott Cares’, to deliver stringent hygiene and cleanliness standards as well as safe distancing to continue to provide safe stays for its guests and a safe working environment for its staff.
“The safety of our guests and colleagues has always been our top priority,” said Patrick Vaysse, TAUZIA Hotels Chief Operating Officer, “The implementation of ‘Ascott Cares’ ensures that our hotels are well-equipped to deliver high standards of cleanliness to welcome guests back when they are ready to travel. Some of these measures include increased room and public areas sanitation, regular temperature screenings, and the use of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves for staff. With ‘Ascott Cares’, we aim to assure our guests of safety during their stay with us.”
The ‘Ascott Cares’ initiative covers nine commitments to maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness standards to give guests and employees full confidence and greater peace of mind. Safe physical distancing will be part of the new normal as the layout of furniture may be rearranged to provide comfort and facilitate a smoother flow of traffic in shared spaces. Digital solutions will be deployed to minimize contact while providing added convenience and safety to guests. These include the implementation of cashless and contactless payment methods and the introduction of QR codes to access menus, welcome letters, room directories, and other hotel information. Enhanced HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) training will also be conducted to improve supply chain visibility and ensure food safety.

In conjunction with the implementation of ‘Ascott Cares’, TAUZIA Hotels is also adopting the ‘Safe Travels’ global protocol and stamp issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Companies that have successfully implemented the ‘Safe Travels’ protocols will receive a stamp from WTTC for display. This stamp allows travelers to identify companies around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardized protocols, so they can experience ‘Safe Travels’. Guests may look for properties within the TAUZIA Hotels network with the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp as a sign of assurance of the heightened hygiene and safety standards implemented.
