Bandung is ready to welcome back The Papandayan Jazz Fest (TPJF) 2025, which will take place on October 4–5, 2025, at The Papandayan Hotel. Entering its tenth year, this annual jazz festival carries the theme “A Culture Resonance” — a concept that blends the brilliance of jazz with the richness of culture, lifestyle, culinary experiences, and community spirit. More than just a music festival, TPJF has become a cultural meeting ground, creating a deep resonance for art and music enthusiasts.
Since its debut in 2015, TPJF has consistently provided a stage for jazz musicians across generations, both national and international. This milestone year brings historic recognition: the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) will award The Papandayan as the only hotel in Indonesia to have successfully hosted an annual jazz festival for 10 consecutive years.
Bobby Renaldi, General Manager of The Papandayan and Founder of TP Jazz Management, highlighted the festival’s cultural foundation:
“Ten years of The Papandayan Jazz Fest is a celebration of the passion we’ve built together. From the start, TPJF has been more than just a music festival; it is a cultural stage, a meeting place, and a symbol of openness from Bandung to the world. With this year’s theme, ‘A Culture Resonance,’ we want to echo the message that jazz is a universal language that embraces everyone, transcending age, background, or identity.”
This year, TPJF 2025 offers a richer festival experience with eight stages spread across the hotel, from the Suagi Grand Ballroom as the main stage to the Tropical Garden, Pool Deck, and the ever-popular Pasar Jazz. These stages will showcase not only jazz in all its diversity but also other genres such as pop, soul, funk, and hip-hop, making TPJF a true cross-genre festival with a unique cultural touch.
The lineup features acclaimed Indonesian and international musicians, including Afgan, HIVI!, Reality Club, Iwa K, Ziva Magnolya, Barry Likumahuwa & The Rhythm Service feat. Trie Utami, Bandung Jazz Orchestra, Dwiki Dharmawan feat. Rimar Callista, The Sister (Dewi Lestari, Arina, Imelda Rosalin), and Japan’s Kinematics.
Beyond concerts, TPJF 2025 also presents highlights such as Tribute to Legendary Musicians honoring Utha Likumahuwa, the TPJF Lifetime Achievement Award dedicated to the late Harie Roesli, Beyond the Notes – Jazz Masterclass & Workshop for young musicians, and the vibrant Pasar Jazz.
Pasar Jazz is one of the festival’s most anticipated attractions — a creative bazaar combining music, art, and culinary delights in one interactive space. With dozens of curated tenants, it connects creative communities, local businesses, and festival-goers in an accessible and festive atmosphere. Importantly, Pasar Jazz is free to enter, opening the TPJF experience to the wider public.
Tickets are available in three categories: Silver Pass (daily access to seven stages), Gold Pass (eight stages including Suagi Grand Ballroom), and Platinum Pass (full two-day access to all stages), starting from Rp250,000 at www.tpjazzfest.com.
