Crowne Plaza Bandung, as a 5-star hotel located in the center of Bandung City, was spreading energy and positive hopes for the local residents to get through the difficult times at this time. As we all know that today, both in Indonesia and the majority of countries throughout the world are at war with the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the positive energy spread by Crowne Plaza Bandung is carried out in a unique way, which was to turn on some room lights to form a heart/love symbol on March 30, 2020, at 6 PM. This was done as part of a movement initiated by the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) called Lights of Love.

Mellya Widya Ayundha as Marcomm Manager of Crowne Plaza Bandung said, “Because Crowne Plaza Bandung is also part of the IHG, we are happy to participate in the Lights of Love movement. So, it was not just the Crowne Plaza Bandung that made the shape of a heart/love through the window of the room, but many other IHG hotels around the world were also doing it. It is time for us to spread our enthusiasm to those around us, citizens who currently have to do the #PhysicalDistancing, the Indonesian government who must maintain the stability of the country during these conditions, and especially for the medical team as the front guard against COVID-19.”

Crowne Plaza Bandung also continues to operate to serve guests who must continue their activities by utilizing hotel services and facilities. Cleanliness and safety standards for employees and guests are carried out strictly starting from the measurement of body temperature at the entrance of the main lobby and employee entrance, providing hand sanitizers throughout the hotel area, periodic cleaning of the hotel area, as well as implementing guidelines for personal isolation for guests who come from the infected area.
