A passionate hotelier with more than 20 years of experience, her journey with the company started in 2005 with JW Marriott Hotel Seoul. Her penchant for traveling motivated her to gain further experience in highly diverse places across the Caribbean and Bali where she advanced progressively in numerous leadership roles in Rooms Operations and Sales & Marketing. In 2016, she joined JW Marriott & The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan as Cluster Assistant Director of Sales. Her most recent assignment was as Director of Sales at The Mayflower, Jakarta – Marriott Executive Apartments.
Caitie is married to her soulmate, Hafidz. The happy couple is blessed with three children, Jeehu, Jian, and Jiwoong. She is an avid reader who also enjoys chilling with good movies. When asked about her unforgettable moments as a hotelier, she mentioned when she first moved from South Korea to the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean where she had to emerge herself into a multi-cultural environment working with over 30 nationalities and when she had worked with numerous celebrities during her time at Conrad Seoul but above all the most memorable moment was when she was offered a position as a General Manager at Moxy Bandung.
“When I was assigned to Moxy Bandung, I felt so excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because this is my first lifestyle brand, I get to wear sneakers instead of high heels and I am encouraged to be creative; working outside of the box, actually no box at all”, Caitie said.
The Korean native is thrilled to bring K-vibes to Moxy Bandung knowing how K-food, K-pop, and K-drama being so popular amongst young generations. Obviously, she is very excited to start her role as “Captain” in Moxy Bandung.
“Bandung is a very young city, I would like to make our brand be known by Fun Hunters (Moxy target audience) as a place to have fun and hang out, especially our Moxy Sky where it is no place like others; it’s a versatile and unique venue and I can’t wait to explore different opportunities with the venue once the government restrictions lessen,” said Caitie.
