There is something about getting married outdoors in Bali, the greenery, the breeze and the changing light as the day moves into evening. At Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, that experience now has a new setting. Suwarga Garden, the resort’s newest outdoor venue for weddings, celebrations and gatherings, officially opened on 25 September 2026 with an evening celebration themed “Garden of Four Wonders.” Set among lush greenery and centred around an iconic seven-metre waterfall, the new venue offers a flexible garden setting where different cultures, traditions and celebration styles can come together.

Meaning “heaven”, Suwarga Garden is inspired by the idea “Where Every Moment Feels Like Heaven.” Rather than one large event space, the garden unfolds across five distinct areas: The Banyan Court, The Pavilion, The Cascading Lawn, The Lawn Court and The Waterfall Court. Together, they can accommodate gatherings ranging from 50 guests to up to 1,250 guests, allowing ceremonies, receptions and dinners to move naturally between different settings as an event unfolds.

The Waterfall Court serves as the garden’s signature focal point, with its seven-metre waterfall illuminated in changing colours as evening falls. Other areas offer different atmospheres, from the leafy intimacy of The Banyan Court and the sheltered garden setting of The Pavilion to the open greenery of The Cascading Lawn and The Lawn Court.

The “Garden of Four Wonders” opening celebration brought these possibilities to life. Guests, including wedding organisers, travel agents, corporate partners, government representatives, media friends and Accor colleagues, were invited to explore the garden as it transformed into a series of wedding settings inspired by Indian, International, Chinese and Indonesian celebrations.

At The Banyan Court, an elegant international wedding setting featured refined floral arrangements and romantic details, while The Lawn Court was transformed into an Indian wedding celebration with a beautifully decorated mandap. Along the Cascading Lawn, the cascading water wall provided a backdrop for a Chinese tea ceremony-inspired setting, while The Pavilion offered another layer of wedding fantasy through abundant flowers, flowing drapery and an oversized wedding cake.

The evening began with cocktails and light bites at The Lawn Court, accompanied by romantic saxophone melodies. As twilight deepened, a couple’s dance at 6.20 p.m. marked the transition into the main celebration, with guests making their way towards The Waterfall Court to the orchestral rendition of “A Whole New World” by Soulfegio.

Following the official opening by hosts Mika Affandy and Ealsya, Jan Kroeckel, General Manager of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, welcomed guests and spoke about Suwarga Garden as a place created to bring people together and turn important moments into lasting memories.

Dinner continued the journey through different cultures, with an abundant selection of Indonesian and Balinese favourites alongside Indian specialties from Ganesha ek Sanskriti. The evening reflected Mövenpick’s spirit of generosity, bringing together different traditions and flavours around one shared celebration.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments came during an Indian dance performance by Nitrous Dance. The performance suddenly grew into a grand celebration as another 30 Mövenpick Bali team members, dressed in magnificent Indian attire specially provided by Deepaloka Indian Costume Specialties, joined the choreography. Vibrant fabrics, intricate details and traditional silhouettes filled the Waterfall Court with movement and colour, turning the performance into a joyful expression of culture, togetherness and team spirit.

As the energy reached its peak, the garden suddenly fell into darkness. Above the venue, a spectacular 12-minute drone show by STAL & WAP illuminated the night sky, telling the story of Suwarga Garden through moving formations and imagery. The evening concluded with door prizes, followed by a brilliant fireworks display above Jimbaran.
