Youth, beautiful and talented, that kind of impression which was seen in Ida Ayu Dinda Intening Angraghani. This young receptionist of The ONE Legian has successfully won the prestigious title as the 1st Winner of Receptionist of the Year 2019 at the National level representing Bali.

The 2019 Receptionist of the Year (ROTY) event was previously held for the Bali level in October 2019.  Dayu Dinda, as she was called, managed to become a champion in the event and drove to represent Bali to the national level which was held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at one of the hotels on Kuta.

Organized by the Hotel Front Liner Association (HFLA) in collaboration with Pegi Pegi, this event was also attended by House Keeping Association, IHGMA, PHRI, and the Government Tourism Office. This competition is about how receptionist’s ability to understanding the guests’ cases or complaints in their daily lives at the reception.

A total of 7 chapters participated as representatives of several cities throughout Indonesia, namely Central Java, Surabaya, Makassar, Bandung, Jogjakarta, Jakarta and of course Bali as well as the host.  Elimination from 16 participants then narrowed to number 8 until the final round remaining 3 main finalists came from Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali.

It was a pride because the Bali chapter was declared as the 1st winner of the Indonesia Receptionist of The Year 2019 competition. Dayu Dinda won the highest score of 4328 beating 2 other finalists. The 1st Runner Up was won by Indonesia HFLA Surabaya chapter, Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya, Luckyanto Hutama and 2nd Runner Up were carried off by Indonesia HFLA Chapter Jakarta, JW Marriott Jakarta, Fenny.

“This is an amazing experience for me.  I was thankful for the opportunity given to be able to take part in this competition, especially from The ONE Legian, who believed in my abilities.  I was surprised, this is something that I didn’t expect before, “said Dayu Dinda for her achievements.

Asked to share tips for her success, Dayu Dinda advised to be ourselves and bring out our best abilities.  Do not forget to continue to hone the potential through learning, eager to ask and always try and gathered by support systems that help us to believe in self-potensial.

Dayu Dinda pursued her career as a Guest Service Assistant or familiarly known to the public as a Receptionist at The ONE Legian since early 2019. Achievements have begun to be shown with successive titles as The Best Up Seller of The Month at The ONE Legian  starting from February, April, June, July, August and September 2019.

Go further, at the employee appreciation event held by The ONE Legian last June, Dayu Dinda was chosen as the Best Employee of the Quarter.  As a beginner, Dayu Dinda has shown that achievement can be achieved regardless of age, not necessarily with high experience but determination and willingness to learn and try, then all is possible.

Eka Pertama as General Manager of The ONE Legian admitted that he was surprised and proud of the news of Dayu Dinda’s victory. “Thank to all those who have helped Dayu Dinda, especially for her mentors in the Front Office department.  We believe that Dinda is assisted by solid colleagues and been great in their fields to be able to bring out their best competencies.”, said Eka.
