John Hardy Seminyak’s Long Table Unveils Its 2025 Festive Feast Celebrate the festive season with a culinary journey through Indonesia’s islands at John Hardy Seminyak’s Long Table.
A Celebration of Flavors and Fellowship
Renowned for its Indonesian-inspired Long Table lunches, John Hardy Seminyak unveils a new festive menu that celebrates the rich culinary heritage of the archipelago. Crafted by Executive Chef Tomy Suputra, this year’s menu draws inspiration from six great islands; Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and Kalimantan, each contributing its own distinctive flavors to the feast.
“The Long Table tradition was born from a simple idea — to share a meal with family, friends, and the community around one table,” explains Polly Purser, Sr. Director of Heritage for John Hardy. “It continues to be a way for us to honor Indonesia’s diverse food culture, using traditional recipes, local produce, and authentic cooking techniques that bring people together.”
The 2025 Long Table Holiday Menu includes dishes such as Bebek Hitam from Java, a local duck slow-roasted over open fire and glazed with caramelised Bumbu Madura; Udang Sambal Asap from Sulawesi, a steamed tiger prawns with smoked mackerel and roa sauce; Serundeng Udang Papai from Kalimantan, toasted coconut with garlic, chilli, and dried shrimp; Rumpu Rampe from Nusa Tenggara, a vibrant sauté of papaya leaves, moringa, banana blossom, and chayote; Roroban from Bali, an ancient Balinese soup of young papaya and coconut water cooked inside a young coconut; and Nasi Minyak Tumpeng from Sumatra, fragrant jasmine rice cooked with chicken fat, toasted garlic, and aromatic turmeric leaves, served in a traditional tumpeng cone.
Dessert brings a playful finish with Es Campur, shaved ice prepared tableside with traditional toppings and syrups, followed by tea or coffee.

The Magic of the Long Table
Nestled within John Hardy Seminyak’s two-storey gallery and jewellery emporium, the Long Table overlooks a tranquil temple and terraced gardens, setting the stage for a truly memorable dining experience. The table itself stretches across the open pavilion, inviting connection, conversation, and shared discovery — a celebration of community at the heart of the festive season. “The energy around the Long Table is something special,” says Chef Tomy Suputra. “Each dish comes from a different island, yet together they represent the spirit of Indonesia, diverse, welcoming, and full of flavor.”
Complementing the culinary journey is a new wine list, featuring both local and international labels that pair beautifully with the spice, texture, and character of Indonesian cuisine.
