Citadines Berawa Beach Bali a recently opened chic aparthotel under the CapitaLand’s wholly-owned lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott) celebrates the spirit of Ramadan with a local orphanage in Bali, Panti Asuhan Sakinah.
Donations in cash and school supplies are collected during the month of April from the hotel’s team and guests. The cash donation was also received from PT. Genesis Indo Jaya (GIJ) – Citadines’ Berawa Beach Bali’s owning company. The hotel’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program has always been supported by PT. GIJ.
On Monday, 25th April 2022, the hotel’s team and guests visited Panti Asuhan Sakinah to break the fasting together and hand over the donations that has been collected within the month. There were 60 meal boxes prepared and two in-house guests were joining this event.“Through this month of Ramadan, we want to show our commitment to supporting community engagement. We are very glad that our owning company, hotel’s team, and guests are fully engaged in this CSR program,” said Francisca Thorogood, General Manager of Citadines Berawa Beach Bali.
Panti Asuhan Sakinah located in Jalan Palapa XIV Gg. Ikan Blukus No.1, Sesetan, Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan. The orphanage has been established in 2000 with children ranging from age 8 – to 15 years old. The foundation was built for orphans and children who have been abandoned because of financial difficulties. The foundation offers protection and education for children for their future development.
“This activity is part of the Ascott Berbagi Program, which is a signature corporate social responsibility activity we conduct every year during Ramadan. Ascott has been giving back to the community over the 25 years since we started operations in Indonesia,” explained Francisca.
