As a newcomer in Bali, Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali makes their way to becoming Bali’s best destination for family holidays. With so many facilities catered to kids (and the parents too), we want to list down all of the things we love about this beautiful resort.
1. AMAZING HOSPITALITY
When we first check in at the Lobby area of Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, everything was so easy and effortless. The front desk was so helpful, and they even have a special check-in table for kids where they color and play with the iPad. So that leaves us free to fill in all the registration. Then we were asked to sit at the Katha Lounge and offered us the welcome drink, while they go and check if the room is ready. The whole lobby is beautifully designed with lots of space and high ceilings. However, if you just sat down at one of the mingle benches by Alvin Tjitrowirjo, you’ll notice how everybody is being attended to. From the bell boy offering to carry someone’s bag, or the concierge helping a guest or just the staff talking to your kids while the parents check in. This is hospitality at a new level.
2. THE ROOM
Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali has a total of 297 rooms divided into six categories. For families, we definitely recommend the family room with separate beds for the parents and the kids on a separate floor. However, if you have children, any rooms you choose will make them happy. Why? First of all, when we enter the room, they will arrange the towels and shaped it like a dog, elephant and many other animals for the kids. Then, as we step into the bathroom, you can see how they prepare baby toiletries as well as some cute rubber duckies for them to play in the tub. They go as far as providing a kimono for the parents and the kids. How adorable is that! The mini bar is complimentary and the room is simply perfect to rest before we go explore the whole resort.
3. THE POOL
Let’s be real… they have the best pool in Bali. Just imagine a 2900 sqm multi level swimming pool that lies across the resort. Their pool is so amazing that each family member can have their own areas to choose from. The babies and toddlers can play in the kids pool, with rubber floors, sprinkler, and slides. The teens can play in the other side of the pool with cool slides. There’s a lap pool for those who wants to swim uninterupted. Meanwhile, there’s the island pool with lots of bean bags around. This is the perfect spot to just sunbathe, relax and enjoy the day. Another perfect addition to the pool is how it is heated. So even after a long day exploring Bali, you can still swim at night cos the water is all warm and comfortable. Oh, let’s not forget the various activities that goes on within the pool area. They have the water polo game and aqua-robics classes throughout the day. After the class, you will have friendly staff offering complimentary frozen fruits by the pool. Yes, we loveee this pool!
4. THE MEERA KIDS CLUB
Yes, as parents, we all love a great kids club. But sometimes, we wonder whether it is really safe to leave our kids with strangers. Worry no more, because at the Meera Kids Club, all the staff are specially trained at the Movenpick headquarter and are certified. They can play with your kids while ensuring their safety and encourage playfullness with the other kids. The meera kids club has two floors. The first floor area is for toddlers and younger kids. It has an indoor playground with trampoline and ball pit. There’s an amphiteatre to watch movies, and a sleeping room for napping. The second floor is the teenager area with bean bags, console games, books, and lots of games. Everyday, they have so many activities, from yoga class, Indonesian and Balinese language lesson, Fruit Printing, Pirate Water Treasure Hunt, Balinese Dress-up, Ceramic Painting, Pajamas Party and many more.
5. THE CHOCOLATE HOUR
Seeing how Movenpick is a Global company with a deep Swiss roots, we can’t help but falling in love with their Chocolate and Ice Cream. For those craving the famous Movenpick Ice Cream, just head down to the Movenpick Cafe where you can enjoy those Swiss-style artisanal ice creams all day long. However, if you are a guest at the resort, you can enjoy complimentary Chocolate Hour everyday at 4PM. For one hour long, you can nibbles all those sweet treats during the with éclairs, brownies, truffles, chocolate fountains and more at the Katha Lobby Lounge.
6. THE ANARASA RESTAURANT
Whether it is for breakfast, lunch, dinner or Sunday Brunch, dining in at Anarasa Restaurant is always a treat. In the morning, it always has a beautiful spread of freshly baked bread, fruits, and lots of Indonesian and Western dishes to get you in the right mood throughout the day. They have a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. Anarasa faces the tropical garden and offers a wide array of Asian delicacies, artisanal Balinese specialities, international favourites, as well as a Robata grill. During the Sunday Brunch or themed night buffets, their chefs will guide you along various live stations. Oh, if you’re not convinced by now that this is a family resort, at Anarasa they have a dedicated children’s dining zone with tvs, and specially made food for your kids.
7. MOVENPICK AFTER DARK
In most hotels, guest will do their activities during the day, and come back to their rooms to rest. Here at Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, the party starts as the sun set. Go visit Above Eleven on the 8th floor, and experience the epic Bali Sunset over a glass of cocktail. The Chef will cook-up some fantastic Peruvian dishes while the DJs keep the night up all night long. Above Eleven is one of the best rooftop bars in Bali, and a great place to let loose with your loved ones. It is the holiday, anyway. Or, you can also visit the Samasta lifestyle area down below.
