The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta and Alleira Batik Hosted Madam Ambassadors Fashion Show
In the spirit of celebrating the 74th Indonesia Independence Day on Saturday, August 17th, The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta in collaboration with Alleira Batik has held a kebaya and batik fashion show on Wednesday, August 14th. Situated at Kudus Hall with its ornately carved ceiling inspired by the town of Kudus, in Central Java and overlooking over the hotel’s lush tropical infinity swimming pool, the fashion show was presented by Madam Ambassadors and some of the members of the International Women’s Club.
This event celebrated the uniqueness of diversity of Indonesia and also endeavored to share our rich heritage with valued International guests in what was truly a “multi-nation” event to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day.
This was the second time The Sultan Hotel & Residence and prestigious Alleira had collaborated on a special event such as this Independence event. More than just a fashion show, this event was appeared to be a cheerful afternoon soiree attended by many important guests, hotel clients, and media partners.
Alleira Batik presented their stunningly beautiful and glamourous kebaya and batik. The fashion show was presented in two sequences. The first sequence showed the timeless kebaya in a red and white tone that was presented by Madam Ambassador of Myanmar, Japan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Poland, Malaysia, and the former chairwoman of International Women’s Club, Mrs. Rita Pusponegoro. While the second sequence was presented by Madam Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Thailand, Pakistan, South Korea, India and some current active members of International Women’s Club and Putri Indonesia association who gracefully donned in batik dress.
The Hotel’s culinary team under the expert guidance of new Executive Chef Andry Stefanus served a delectable afternoon tea with some traditional Indonesian favorites as well as some traditional herbal drinks like Bajigur, Bir Pletok, Wedang jahe and Wedang Secang to help introduce Indonesian culinary heritage to this truly International gathering.
In addition, The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta also supported a batik bazaar in the Kudus Hall entrance for all sponsors who support this event like Meidah Cosmetic, Batik Kammi and Darling Rock by Elizabeth Wahyu. Guests also got an opportunity to win some fantastic door prizes from these prestigious sponsors.
