Paulaner Bräuhaus Set to celebrate its Sixth Oktoberfest!
From year to year, this most-awaited event is now returning, and this microbrewery promises even more entertainment as well as even more barrels of Oktoberfest Bier.
Paulaner Bräuhaus, Indonesia’s only genuine German microbrewery, will celebrate its sixth Oktoberfest this year. The festival will run from 2 to 5 October 2019 and is set to be the biggest for the brewery and the only truly authentic Oktoberfest in the city.
The festivities will be celebrated in the “Anstich” tradition, in which the first litre of specially brewed Oktoberfest Bier will be tapped by the world’s brewmaster and the only one in Indonesia, Arie Susanto. The ingredients for this special brew are all imported from Munich and brewed on-site at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta’s microbrewery.
As in previous years, and back by popular demand from our loyal patrons, to give this uber-fest even more of an authentic Bavarian touch, the famous folk band Edelweiss Power will be flown in from Germany to entertain partygoers with games, competitions and traditional music, as well as the most favourite party’s song list!
“This year’s Oktoberfest will top and be even merrier than last year’s, seeing the number of inquiries that we have received from our Oktoberfest lovers,” said Vinu John, Director of Food & Beverages Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta. “The traditions of having our waiters and waitresses wearing traditional lederhosen and dirndl dresses, barrel after barrel of beer, mouthwatering wurst and pork knuckle, and singing and dancing until the early hours will still be the highlights.” And the party rocks on for four nights, challenging even the most hedonistic of happiness-seekers to keep pace.
This year sees prices for the Wednesday and Thursday nights (2 and 3 October) at IDR 600,000+++, which includes Paulaner’s most favourite sausage and meat platters, Oktoberfest’s free-flow special-brew beer, entertainment, a signature Paulaner Beer Mug and a guaranteed seat at a table. Table placement will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Meanwhile, on the Friday and Saturday nights (4 and 5 October), the price will be IDR 650,000+++, including all of the above benefits.
Everyone is invited to come and experience the proud traditions of the world’s funkiest folk festival. Not to mention a grand prize of 1 (one) return flight ticket (Jakarta–Istanbul–Jakarta) from Turkish Airlines, which is available for the lucky guest. Prost, as they say in Bavaria!
