Fairmont Jakarta hold Financial Planning Seminar for Employees
As part of its employee development efforts, Fairmont Jakarta held a financial planning seminar for its employees on 8 January 2019. Titled Millenial Money: Taking The Fear Factor Out Of Investing, the event was dedicated to the millennial generation of the hotel staff, as a motivation to start planning on their financial future.
The event was in collaboration with Bank Mandiri. The seminar was presented by former model/presenter/movie star, Adrian Maulana, who is currently the Senior Vice President for Intermediary Business at PT Schroder Investment Management Indonesia, and guided by the investment specialist from Bank Mandiri, Diaz Aditrya Putra.
Through the seminar, the millennial employees were reminded about the importance of investing in the early age to secure their financial future through reksadana. The participants were shown the fact that we can no longer rely only on the salary increase as inflation rate moves faster than most people’s income. The event plays as a reminder for employees to find ways to make their money work for them and not the other way around. And one of the most accessible alternatives is through investing.
The participants were reminded that there is nothing scary about investing because in today’s world investing does not necessarily require big capital like investing in properties or gold. Everyone could start investing with any budget they could allocate. And it is relatively safe so people do not need to worry about losing their money when investing through reksadana. The participants gained valuable insights through the seminar.
