Festive Holidays at Mozaic

The Chris Salans Group are sharing preview details of their end-of-year holiday preparations at Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique in Ubud, Bali.
A sumptuous Christmas meal, with the theme “A gastronomique Christmas at Mozaic,” will be served for dinner on the 24th and for both lunch and dinner on the 25th of December. Guests will be offered tasting menus of 6 or 8 courses with an optional paired wines from Mozaic’s award-winning collection. Among the dishes will be Rice Husk Smoked Salmon; Lobster vanilla; Atlantic Monkfish, Coconut Snow; Foie Gras Duo and Seasonal Cherries, Secreto Iberico Pork, Ginger Bread; Venison ‘Grand Veneur’; Eggnog ice cream with cognac jelly; a table-top chocolate presentation and petits fours.
The restaurant and tables will be festive with Christmas decorations, with Christmas music in the air. Prices for dinner are 6-course tasting menu Rp1,350,000++ and 8-course tasting menu Rp1,700,000++. Premium Wine Pairing: 6 course Rp990,000 ++ and 8 course Rp1,200,000 ++. New Year’s Eve (31 December 2018) presents a “Dinner Spectacle: A Night of Great Surprise!” with entertainment synchronized with the food and service to propose a great night of surprise!
Tasting menus of 6 or 8 courses (at Rp1,700,000++ and Rp1,950,000++) will feature dishes such as Sips of Pigeon and Pomelo like a cognac; Catch of the day, Morning Haze; Canadian Lobster, Aromas of Kemangi; Coral Trout and Black Truffle Papillotte, table side Crumble; Blow torched Foie Gras and Eel; Coconut Smoked Wagyu beef infused with Kluwek; Balinese Citrus and Champagne; Table top Dessert – textures of chocolates; and The Last Petits Fours of the Year. Premium Wine Pairing: 6 course Rp990,000++ and 8 course Rp1,250,000++. A complimentary glass of champagne will be offered to toast in the New Year. The restaurant and tables will be decorated with the theme of Surprise.
During the New Year’s Eve dinner, the performing artist Jasmine Okubo and her band Kita Poleng will tune their performance to the theme of evening and to that of the food. For example, if a dish is smoked, she will have smoke in her performance. If the dish is prepared with kluwek her performances will be dressed with kluwek shells which will sound to the beat of the music. This will be a truly innovative and entertaining experience for the guests.
