Staying at Grand Mercure Setiabudi Bandung, you need to try the special dishes presented by Jing Paradise restaurant. The place serves a lavish selection of modern Chinese fusion dishes, carefully crafted by chef Chau Wing Chiu, in an elegant and posh interior setting. Had a chance to visit the restaurant, we experienced such a gastronomic voyage. The place served us some of its most highlighted dishes, ranging from appealing Hong Kong dim sum, scrumptious live seafood selection, and pleasing dessert and drink.
For the starter, Jing Paradises team served us a set of Hong Kong Dim Sum in a cute presentation. Something your kids would be excited about as the presentation replicates kids’ favorite characters or figures. The set includes Happy Panda, Little Big Foot, Steamed Mushroom Bun with Black Truffle, and Deep-fried 3 Kind Combination. Happy Panda is a fluffy steamed bun with red lotus filling in a cute Panda’s head shape (IDR28,800/portion).
Another fluffy steamed bun is the Steamed Mushroom with Black Truffle with assorted mushroom and black truffle oil filling (IDR38,800/portion). Besides its interesting shape, those two steamed buns are so flavorful yet not too heavy for kids. Balancing those sweet flavors, Dinosaur-shaped Little Big Foot comes with shrimp, chicken, and water chestnut filling for a savory taste (IDR36,800). As well as Deep-fried 3 Kind Combinations, consist of squid, chicken, and prawn ball (IDR48,800).
Moving on to the stars of the day were Chef’s recommendations of live seafood which served in five different bountiful dishes. First is Canada Lobster with Mixed Fruit Salad. Again with a thoughtful presentation, this time a heart-shaped, this salad left such a favorable sweet and sour taste with a hint of savory. The combination of fresh ingredients in this dish will definitely escalate people’s appetite. The second one is Drunken Live Prawn with Chinese Herbal. Its showy beautiful red color really steals the attention. As for the taste, the prawn exudes its original sweet flavor, truly juicy, and compliment each other with the two sauces.
