Bvlgari Resort Bali proudly announces an exclusive event featuring visiting chef Thitid Tassanakajohn (Chef Ton) from Le Du in Bangkok and Luca Fantin from Il Ristorante – Luca Fantin in Tokyo on Friday, 28th June 2019.

This rare and unique collaboration features two Michelin-starred restaurants and celebrated winners of this year’s Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants renowned for their cuisine style, philosophy and craftsmanship.

Raised on the flavours of his mother and grandmother’s home-cooked Thai dishes, Chef Thitid Tassanakajohn- popularly known as Chef Ton- pursued his dream at the Culinary Institute of America, and worked at Eleven Madison Park, The Modern, and Jean Georges in New York. Returning to Thailand with a vision to elevate Thai cuisine, he now runs the kitchens at Le Du and Baan. Le Du is named after the Thai word for “seasons”, which reflects Chef Ton’s focus on traditional flavours and local seasonal ingredients influenced by progressive French techniques. His restaurant is awarded with one Michelin star in 2019 and a rank of 20 in this year’s “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants”.

Chef Ton will be working together with Chef Luca Fantin, the very first Italian chef in Japan awarded with one Michelin star and numerous other recognition including a rank of 18 in this year’s “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants”.  Fantin’s interpretation of contemporary Italian cuisine inspired by the land of Bali will be the main highlight of this first gastronomic series at The Bvlgari. His dishes reflect the attention to details and respect for the top-quality ingredients available in-season that are elaborated with refined techniques and great creativity.

Luca Fantin and Chef Ton will harmoniously create an exclusive 8-course dinner combining contemporary Italian and modern Thai cuisine using the finest ingredients including local and organic produce paired with selection premium wines in the intimate setting overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Limited seating is available at IDR 3,500,000 (subject to prevailing government tax and 10% service charge) per person inclusive of wine pairing.
