In collaboration with Commercial Office of Peru in Jakarta, Above Eleven presents “Discover Peru Dinner”, an interactive dining experience with Peruvian Guest Chef, Jaime Arbulu, in celebration of Peruvian National Day on 28 July 2019.
With close to 15 years of experience and several competition wins under his belt, including the Chef Sur Award 2016 in Chile, Chef Jaime will lead guests on a culinary journey through Peru. During the Discover Peru Dinner, Chef Jaime will be collaborating with Above Eleven Bali’s Head Chef Eduardo Montes to bring diners an assortment of Peruvian classics from appetiser, to main dishes and dessert.
Start off with Causa, one of the native appetisers made from yellow Peruvian mashed potato in black color of squid ink accompanied with acevichado sauce, red chili aioli, avocado purée, chalaca sauce topped with charcoal shrimps. Spice it up a notch with Beef Cheek Stew — the renowned slow cooked dish which uses a Peruvian norteña sauce, pumpkin purée, baby carrots, corn and steam rice on the side. The feast continues with some of Peru’s best-loved dishes such as the Lomo Saltado — a Lima-style stir-fry combining marinated strips of tenderloin with onion, tomatoes, red chili and spaghetti huancaina sauce. Finally, satisfy those sweet cravings by tucking into a local dessert with the Suspiro a la limeña, well-known dessert from the nineteenth century in Lima, Peru.
Discover Peru Tasting Menu Dinner at Above Eleven Bali is available on 28 July only, starts from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM includes a four-course dinner created by Chef Jaime Arbulu and Chef Eduardo Montes accompanied with one Pisco cocktail.
