Sardine is a charming restaurant and while it’s in Petitenget next door to Seminyak the position is more in keeping with old Bali. Rai Pasti is the place to try simple Balinese and Indonesian classics like soto ayam (chicken noodle broth), ikan pepes(fish with spice paste steamed in banana leaves), and tempeh goreng (bean curd fried with a sweet sambal sauce).
